I just booked my tickets to the American Academy of Neurology Conference in San Diego. The last time I was there, I was working as Line Producer on a documentary about Comic Con. I was managing a 25 camera crew and directing wookies and storm troopers to their interviews.
This year I submitted an abstract on neuromuscular disease and it was accepted to the Child Neurology panel. I’ll be presenting a poster there in March, along with the co-authors who have been incredible mentors.
Times have certainly changed. I probably won’t see any wookies this year…
Can Exercise Protect the Brain From Fatty Foods?

Interesting results, but a study like this could definitely be misinterpreted. The takeaway is that, once again, exercise is proven to be highly beneficial, NOT that we can eat more high-fat foods as long as we exercise a bit.
Researchers: HFCS is much worse than table sugar
An well written article about the possible dangers of High Fructose Corn Syrup. Whether you agree or disagree with the study, HFCS is a super cheap sugar product that makes soft drinks, sweets, etc much more accessible and there lies the problem. Too much sugar is never good, whether it is High Fructose or table sugar.
